Why we love it...

Contemporary design, stunning views

The Place

Reopened in May 2011 after 18 months of renovations, The Beach can claim to be one of the hottest places on the north Cornwall coast. The old Victorian Building has kept its character, with rooms of different shapes and sizes, but a modern feel has been added by thoughtful, contemporary redecoration.
Guests especially enjoy the bedrooms, describing them as comfortable and homely. All the rooms are decorated in cool colours – in the New England seaside style – with fashionable design features and accessories, particularly in the bathrooms. It is the combination of the wonderful views over Summerleaze Beach and the stylish decoration that make them so appealing – most have views that also extend over the spectacular Cornish scenery surrounding Bude, including the downs at Efford and the Bude canal.
With enough style and taste to be a ‘proper’ hotel, owners have decided against adding a restaurant for the time being, and instead encourage guests to explore the interesting town of Bude with its many local restaurants. Definitely a place for more than one night’s stay.
