Despite its 25 rooms, this seaside hotel has caught our attention because it feels smallish, and is owner managed with a relaxed atmosphere. Service is personal but not intrusive. Above all, we can’t resist the five-star location. From the garden you get grandstand views over Lyme Regis and across Lyme Bay – an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic Coast.
The individually designed bedrooms are colourful and bright, enhanced by big windows that bring in plenty of natural light. Botanical prints and seaside themed knick-knacks are scattered throughout, bringing a relaxed and playful energy to the historic building.
There’s no need for a car here, in fact, you can get to the beach without even having to cross the road.
