We’ve never found a place in Brighton we liked enough to recommend, but Charlie and Justin’s Artist Residence has changed that. They’ve converted two old Regency townhouses in beautiful Regency Square, with views of the sea, into a buzzing, trendy 24-room hotel.
The two townhouses are divided into the Artist rooms, which are individually designed and decorated by local artists; and the House rooms, which have Farrow and Ball muted walls, earthy tones and fabrics, and bathrooms that make the best of small spaces.
The hotel is also home to The Set Restaurant, a personal, 20-cover restaurant, offering a seasonal, modern British menu in an intimate setting as well as an exclusive 10-course tasting menu on The Chef’s Table, created specifically for the guest. Next door, The Fix Cocktail bar, uses the fresh seasonal produce from The Set kitchen to create unique cocktails in a moody setting, overlooking the West Pier.
