Why we love it...

Peaceful and intimate

The Place

On the North Norfolk Coast, about a mile from the busy village of Blakeney, The Wiveton Bell has a relatively peaceful location, which is essential to its charm.

Tucked away in a tiny village, it’s the perfect spot for a quiet weekend of walking, eating, drinking and relaxing. With six rooms, all with private access and outdoor seating, it’s a peaceful, intimate retreat.

The pub is open all year round, but in the summer, this place really comes into its own. Tables out front overlook the village green and church, whilst the restaurant extends back into the sunny garden. Inside, the dining room is smart, but not too formal. It follows the signature Chestnut formula that works so well: large, glass windows inviting plenty of natural light paired with bright pops of colour throughout.

The menu constantly changes to reflect the seasons, using produce from local suppliers and making the most of freshly caught seafood.

Check out the other Chestnut locations on the site, The Cricketers in Clavering and The Carpenters Arms in Great Wilbraham.
