The Place
This quietly impressive hotel appears as a spot on the landscape within the context of its acres of private gardens and the wider Teifi Valley — but it is a stronghold.
The Falcondale is about luxury relaxation, and encouraging guests to explore the Welsh countryside and its own 14 acres of landscaping. You can get your boots muddy walking the Heritage coastline, and then return to the warmth in time for your spa session.
Bright, airy and extremely spacious, the bedrooms are grand yet functional. Most have views of the gardens or the valley as their centrepiece, but four-poster beds may compete. Each room has individuality, completed with a trademark flourish; they have strong but subtle character.
The rest of the house consists of a sitting room, a heated conservatory, the outdoor terrace, two restaurants and a spa. It’s where you’ll want to be when not exploring the outdoors. A favourite spot, the open fire.
The Falcondale estate has been around for some 400 years, and a certain timelessness is mirrored in the hotel itself. Guests gush about the welcoming staff and the fantastic views, neither of which we believe will change any time soon.
