The Place
This handsome hotel on the pink granite coast of Brittany stands high above the sea with a path running down to the beach, offering unbeatable views over the bay of Lannion. The beautiful turn of the century home was opened as a hotel in 1978, and the same family still runs it today.
Ti al Lannec balances comfort and quality with being genuinely family-friendly, with play-sets for children in the garden and babysitting services on offer. This doesn’t compromise the sense of luxury – the spa provides plenty of opportunity to relax in the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. Most impressive is the panoramic swimming pool, which looks out over the sea.
The bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated, light and airy with fresh flowers – our reporter felt it had the elusive private-house feel. The Superior and Terrace rooms are particularly spacious. All rooms are quiet and offer a peaceful night’s sleep, but if you can, we’d recommend that you treat yourself to a room with a balcony or terrace for uninterrupted sea views.
The restaurant offers a seasonal menu inspired by the sea, while the Ti lounge and bar serves bistronomic dishes alongside cocktails and fine wines, best enjoyed on the sunny, flower-filled terrace. Service is attentive and friendly, and the dishes themselves are a celebration of Breton cuisine – book your table in advance to avoid missing out!
This is the perfect spot to explore Brittany’s Pink Granite Coast, as well as the many charming towns, castles and heritage sites in the vicinity.
