The Place
Hotel de Buci is an homage to 18thC style and taste – perfect for a romantic escape.
Each bedroom is designed in the style of a typical boudoir with cherry wood furniture, authentic paintings and 18thC fabric designs. The effect is one of heady luxury – heavy drapes, rich textures and beautiful colours add up to a sophisticated environment. Many are also decorated with the shade of sky blue made famous by Sèvres porcelain, and thoughtful touches such as canopy beds, wing chairs and love seats enhance the French feel. Some rooms are a little small – if you would like more space the suites are recommended.
Public spaces are equally beautiful, with wonderful 18thC furniture. Each item of antique furniture has been chosen with care, and the result is one of impeccable taste. The bar is open all day and serves some interesting cocktails.
Many guests have commented on the good balance between modern amenities and traditional design: bathrooms are modern but still in keeping with the 18thC design of the bedrooms, and all rooms are soundproofed from the busy street outside.
