The Place
We continue to be very fond of the Saint-Paul, a 17thC building recently renovated. The public rooms are stylish with beamed ceilings, stone walls, haute epoque and good country antiques. The rooms have some quirky touches, such as interesting portraits of animals hanging on the walls.
Facing the entrance, a carefully tended courtyard garden, with two huge Anduzian vases, is set behind a glass wall. The cellar breakfast room is a particularly elegant variation on the theme, with high-backed tapestry chairs and round wooden tables.
Rooms are colourful and range in style from the modern – vibrant – to the traditional – exposed beams. The latest renovations added plenty of thoughtful details such as USB outlets, as well as brand-new safes, minibars and much more. All in all easy-going and well run: a pleasure to stay in.
