The Place
In one of the capital’s most sought-after suburbs, this neoclassical-style hotel is an exceptionally relaxing place to stay. It is small enough to feel intimate, and far enough from the busy city centre to be comfortably quiet even in high season. Each of the 12 self-contained, well-appointed suites has a small kitchen area, and each is individually and attractively decorated, with old prints and furniture upholstered to match the canopied beds.
This is not a full-service hotel, but would be ideal for the visitor looking for a home away from home for a longer stay in Athens. There is a small reception area, but for eating and drinking you must seek out one of Kifissia’s many restaurants (try the Pentelikonis restaurant, nearby).
