The Place
Hotel Parsifal (named after the Opera that Wagner composed in Ravello) retains a certain monastic simplicity along with its 13thC cloister. The former convent is still owned by nuns, but for many years now has been a family-run hotel.
In terms of location on the Amalfi Coast, it doesn’t get much better than here. Perched on a cliffside, Hotel Parsifal offers unspoiled views across the Amalfi Coast. Just a 10 minute walk from the main square, it is quiet yet central.
Hotel Parisfal is run by Antonio Mansi and his family. Signor Mansi comes from Ravello, and worked at the Parsifal as a teenager. He went on to become manager of the famous Danieli in Venice, before returning home to pursue his dream of owning his own small-scale hotel. It couldn’t be more different to the Danieli: though professional, the team are particularly friendly and always accommodating.
While gradually upgrading Hotel Parsifal, Signor Mansi has retained its simple and authentic feel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, brought to life by the colourful ceramic tiles that decorate the floor, and most offer a sea view.
In the Raffaele Restaurant, Mediterranean and regional food with creative touches is served. The creeper-clad terrace, however, is really where you want to be. Particularly at sunset, this quiet spot overlooking the sea is a true gem.
Hotel Parisfal is open all year round, except the Christmas period 22nd – 26th December. During the low season (November – March) they offer the Italian Sensations package, offering guests a discount on their stay and includes many activities.
