The little town of Sesto (or Sexten) is one of the prettiest in the region, and the surrounding area must be one of the most beautiful parts of the Dolomites. The Berghotel Sexten (formerly Berghotel Tirol) is a recently constructed chalet, with dark wood balconies overlooking classic alpine scenery: a gentle valley dotted with chalets, a church spire in the foreground, and in the distance, the jagged peaks which are so characteristic of the area. In summer, there are walking trails; in winter you can ski, making it an ideal place to stay year-round.
The comfortable, pine-furnished hotel is run with great hospitality and efficiency by the Holzer family. It has 45 plain bedrooms with white walls and modern wood fittings, or, for self-caterers, there is an apartment-house next door.
