The Place
Leone, son of the hotel’s founders, and his wife Maria had such a love of warm welcomes and exemplary service that Maria became known as the lady of Bellevue. She inspired the next five generations to live up to her standards and in 2025 the family celebrated the centenary of their ownership.
The current custodians, Laura Jeantet-Roullet and husband Domenico, have transformed the Bellevue into a sleek, attractive hotel without sacrificing its original charm. It’s larger than we usually feature, but gets its place because of the owners’ flair and its individual design. From the rustic doubles with original wooden beams to the ‘Angel’s Nest’ chalet with a bathtub suspended over the meadow below, there’s a room for many a different taste.
Activities abound: you can have a spa day, hit the gym or take in the ice and salt grottoes; there’s skiing locally and various routes for biking and walking. Dine in a choice of four restaurants. In 2024 the hotel won six awards for its wine and cheese cellars and its gastronomic restaurant “Le Petit Bellevue” was awarded a Michelin star in November 2025.
For us, it’s the location that seals the deal. Overlooking the Sant’Orso meadow at the entrance to the Gran Paradiso National Park, it’s easy to see why the hotel runs its own literary competition in which guests are challenged to express their responses to the stunning Alpine scenery.
