The Place
An old nineteenth century farmhouse nestled among vineyards and woodlands typical of the hills of upper Piedmont, Il Furtin has been carefully restored, leaving much of the old stone-work in place in order to maintain the charm of a bygone era.
There is a wonderful, tranquil atmosphere at Il Furtin and the interior is typical of a home immersed in the countryside. With the stone, wood, brickwork and colours of a nineteenth century farmhouse, Il Furtin welcomes guests into a comfortable and charming environment. Il Furtin is, in essence, a house – a big house, deeply rooted in the traditions of hospitality and benefits from being surrounded by wonderful landscapes. There is a sense of natural equilibrium as, although summers are lovely, the winter brings with it plenty of snowfall and ensures the area retains its sense of drama.
Il Furtin has six well-appointed bedrooms, all with picture windows, terraces or balconies which are perfect to let visitors make the most of the attractive landscapes.
Breakfast is served in a quirky converted cow barn, or in the garden during warmer weather, and guests are also welcome to use faciltities at the neighbouring La Locanda Della Maison Verte, run by the same family, which include an outdoor pool, mountain bikes, spa and restaurant.
