The Place
A gem, set in beautiful Piemontese countryside and surrounded by vineyards and hills. The building dates back to 1600, and much has been done by the owners to keep it as original as possible, without compromising on style or contemporary comfort. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful.
The accommodation is a mixture of luxurious suites, spacious doubles and original singles. Handcrafted ornaments and furniture from the markets are found in each stylish bedroom: they work well together, making each room interesting and inviting. Colours are light, fabrics are soft and the overall effect is airy and beautiful. Many of the bedrooms and suites have been featured in design magazines.
The surrounding area is full of interesting sights and things to do. For those who want exercise, walking across the Piemontese countryside and nearby hills is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. For foodies, the Piedmont region has many a gourmet hotspot: Gorgonzola and Robiola cheeses, Amaretti biscuits, white truffles and classic Italian wines. La Villa organise trips to local markets and recommends the best restaurants for sampling typical Piedmont cuisine.
La Villa’s restaurant serves simple but wonderful Italian food made using local ingredients. On warm evenings, dinner is served in the romantic courtyard under the stars.
La Villa will appeal to sophisticated travellers who value a calm ambience and good food. Cookery classes are available.
