The Place
Situated in the northern Drakensberg Mountains, a World Heritage Site, Montusi Mountain Lodge boasts an unbeatable location. This exclusive, family-run lodge has 16 suites of various sizes, all with spectacular views of the surroundings. Each of the suites is thoughtfully decorated in a simple, elegant design, with woodburners in the larger Mountain Suites, and private patios and underfloor heating in all Suites.
When dining at Montusi, guests are not only treated to excellent food but also uninterrupted views of the Drakensberg Amphitheatre. Breakfast includes either a cold buffet of fresh options, or a traditional full English-style cooked breakfast. Light lunches are also on offer, as well as the option to organise a packed lunch or special picnic are also available for those who want to be out and about. Dinner, however, is the highlight – a set, four-course menu made with fresh ingredients, some even from the lodge’s veggie garden.
There is a range of activities on offer for the adventurous guest: from hiking and trail running, to mountain biking and golf.
