Part of the Banyan Tree/Angsana resorts group, this former royal residence breaks the chain hotel mould by being (relatively) small. There are just three, spacious principal rooms backed up by a few more in the garden wing and an annexe. Service gets good marks. The sights of Luang Prabang can be reached on foot or by bike. Great pool.
