The Place
We’re somewhat cautious about this beach resort at the north tip of Koh Samui. It’s relatively large, with 32 villas and 29 deluxe rooms, and it’s part of the Santiburi group, which is strong on golf and conference hotels. Some might find it a formulaic, even sterile international resort hotel, but it’s certainly immaculate, with no-expense-spared traditional-contemporary design. You’re right on a secluded beach, where yachts like to anchor for the night and it’s surrounded by 7-acre grounds. We guess the main selling point here is a feeling of privacy and exclusivity on otherwise largely spoiled Koh Samui.
