The Place
Ibiza Town is one of the liveliest centres of the Balearic Islands; the old town in particular is a Mecca for nightbirds, voyeurs and tourists. Staying up until dawn and spending the day asleep on the beach is many people’s object here, but for those who want to do exactly the opposite, there are a few hidden havens of peace and quiet; Ca’s Pla is one of them.
It’s a real gem: a former finca standing on a hill only a few metres from the beach and harbour of Sant Miguel, and surrounded by gnarled old pines, olives and carob trees. The Spanish style of decoration of the generous rooms is discretely highlighted with antiques, pictures and objets d’art. The bedrooms are painted in light colours and have a Mediterranean feel. There’s a huge pool, surrounded by palm trees.
We recommend hiring a car in order to make the most of your stay here, as there is a great deal of exploring to be done.
