The Place
Concealed within a vast orange grove, surrounded by protecting mountains, Ca n’Ai really is a real haven of peace, although the town of Soller and the beautiful natural harbour of Port Soller are only a few minutes drive away. The former estate is surrounded by old walls and waterworks dating to the time of the Moors. Sollerics, the natives of this area, refer to it as el valle silensioso, the valley of peace, and you’ll notice the uncanny quiet as soon as you set foot in the garden. The hotel offers suites only. Some incorporate galleries, either serving as a cosy little retreat, or housing the bath. The cheerful atmosphere, with whitewashed walls, wooden beams and pretty alcoves seems more Andalucian than Mallorcan. You will quickly feel at home, either in the cosy living room with its rocking chairs, or in the room with the open fire. The restaurant serves excellent, diverse dishes and locals eat here regularly.
