The Place
Yet another Mallorcan aristocrat’s estate, this time more than 700 years old, which has been renovated over the last few years with no expense spared. The guest rooms and public rooms set a standard that can bear comparison with any on the island. They are full of light and furnished in a pleasantly minimalist fashion. Sandstone and wooden beams lend a discrete rustic charm. Morpheus, god of sleep, invites you to dream in antique beds and white bed linen. All the bathrooms are in beige marble; those in the suites are cavernous, and fitted with Jacuzzis. Throughout, mares stone is effectively used as a building material, even in the El Casal restaurant, a converted barrel vault, where modern art makes an interesting contrast with the fine furniture and rough surface of the sandstone. This is where to go if you want formal dining and quality Mallorcan cuisine.
The superb outdoor pool is in one of the most beautiful corners of the finca, reached by a path lined with palm trees. Here, the La Pedrera grill also familiarizes guests with fine Mallorcan cuisine, but in less formal surroundings.
