The little village of Montuiri, perched on its hill, is visible from quite a distance. When you arrive, you find all the houses charmingly huddled around the centre. From here, take the road leading out of the village, past terraces of yellow houses, to Es Figueral Nou. The 15thC estate has been completely renovated. A flight of steps leads to the hotel’s attractive vestibule, which doubles as a resting place. The hall opens on to a large terrace, with a wonderful view on to the plain below, typical of the scenery of Mallorca’s centre. Fine antique furniture, some of it family pieces, sets the style in the generously proportioned rooms. Two swimming pools, a tennis court, a gym, sauna and whirlpool will keep you busy and/or relaxed. The spacious, airy restaurant serves Mallorcan delicacies.
