The Place
The road to this former finca, dating from 1777, leads past cultivated farmland and stables; it’s a flat, sparse landscape, but in it is an oasis of evergreen oaks and palm trees, among which is hidden Sant Ignasi’s ochre-yellow building, with its 25 rooms.
The ten rooms on the finca’s ground floor have access to a small private garden, where guests can breakfast in peace and enjoy a relaxed start to the day, while the grand suites have their own terraces. Decoration of the public rooms, and the cosy bedrooms, is stylish and traditional. The restaurant spoils you with delicious Mediterranean food, and guests can enjoy spacious terraces, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
The pretty harbour town of Ciutadella, only three kilometres away, has great shopping, cute little alleyways and the imposing Placa Conquistador. Ferries leave the harbour for Mallorca (Cala Rajada, 90 minutes) and other destinations.
