The Place
Villa Fe is a farmhouse on the outskirts of Istanbul, well away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Owner Ferhan Kolverdi lives in, and the building really does feel like her home: the interior decoration reflects her warm, welcoming personality.
Her own collection of antique statues, engravings, ornaments and paintings adorn both communal areas and the bedrooms. All are well furnished, with wrought-iron or wooden beds, but vary wildly. The cheapest rooms are pretty but sparsely done out, whilst others have open fireplaces and even their own libraries.
The food served is all from the farm, and of good quality: the roasted quail is particularly popular. The hotel also sells produce through its farm shop.
